1967 Ford Mustang "Eleanor" Shelby All Aluminum 472

Purists, have no fear. This isn't a modified GT500, altered from a state which many consider to already be perfection. What you're looking at is a result of the four decades of improvement in almost every area of the motorsports arena since the GT500 originally debuted. Improvements in suspension geometry, airflow dynamics, and chassis technology. This is a rolling piece of automotive artwork, where form and function battle to outdo each other. An interpretion of an American automotive and cinematic icon, done to the Nth degree. At the heart of the beast, a heavily massaged 1967 Mustang with so much care and attention to detail that it would make the designers at Pininfarina green with envy. No stone was un-turned, no wrench unspun in the construction of this monster. It oozes powerband from its all-aluminum V8.  As if a true Shelby 427 block was not enough, stroking the motor to an unearthly 472 cubic inches ensures that the driver will never want for more displacement. There's never a shortage of power on tap, just a lack of safe, passable road on which to stretch its legs.

Its underpinnings are as cutting edge as the nastiest of Trans Am racers. A chassis built to standards as rigid as piece of glacial granite and top of the line dampeners at every corner. The suspension originally conceived by Ford was adequate at best, but can’t nearly provide the assuredness that Aldan coilovers on Martz crossmembers with huge Martz swaybars provide.Carving an apex or dodging slalom cones is a breeze with the Flaming River quick ratio power steering rack. These are competition proven components that have carried dozens of Mustangs to amateur and professional racing titles for the last several decades.

Inspired by the the 1967 GT500 from the 2000 film GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS, this '67 Mustang has the same body lines as her famous counterpart, with a few obvious improvements, and a few not so obvious improvements. The GT500's monster 428 cubic inch Cobra Jet engine is a legend. Even more legendary, however, is Carroll Shelby's Aluminum 427 FE V8. Stroke that motor to 472 cubic inches and hand work the valves, ports, and intake and the result is pure insanity. Precisely assembled and fed by two Holley four barrel carburetors, this motor is as much a work of art as it is a race proven formula. Polished aluminum, billet, and chrome abounds. A perfectly detailed engine bay. As if natural aspiration wasn't enough, a multi-port injection Nitrous Oxide Systems wet nitrous kit allows you to call up another 150+ horses. Just in case...

On several of the stunt cars built for the film, the side exhaust exhaust and the C-Pillar mounted fuel filler cap DIDN'T WORK. They were fake! Just for show. This vehicle features FUNCTIONING SIDE EXIT EXHAUST and C-PILLAR MOUNTED FUEL FILLER CAP.

Futhermore, unlike the majority of side exhaust kits available on the market, which feature restrictive U-bends which cost power, this custom fabricated exhaust flows extremely well, and sounds AMAZING! Most of the movie cars (the studio used over 12 "Eleanors" to get all the footage required) had dummy exhaust tips on each side.
